Kits like the STYLECNC STM1325 are a common example of what shows up when you search for a 4x8 CNC router under $6,000. It is made in China and sold under a handful of brand names with only minor configuration changes, so treat the model number as a stand-in for a whole class of similar machines rather than one unique product.

At this price the machine gets you a genuine 4 by 8 foot steel-frame table, Hiwin linear rails, and a choice between a 3kW or 6kW water-cooled spindle. That is a real, usable setup for cutting sheet goods, cabinet parts, and signage. What gets cut is everything around the spindle: gantry rigidity is lighter than an industrial machine, the stock control box is usually a basic DSP handheld rather than a full PC-based system (Mach3 is typically an added-cost option), and after-sale support depends on the reseller you bought from, not a manufacturer service network in your country.

Before ordering, get the following in writing: the exact spindle (3kW vs 6kW, water-cooled vs air-cooled), whether the controller is DSP or Mach3, and single-phase or three-phase power, since that changes what your shop’s electrical service needs to handle. Ask for freight and duty quoted separately from the machine price, because landed cost commonly runs well above the sticker figure. Budget two to three months from order to first cut, and plan on doing your own leveling, wiring, and calibration, since on-site installation is rarely included at this price point.
